PRODUCT description
Polylactic acid (PLA) is a new type of bio-based and renewable biodegradable material, made from starch raw materials proposed by renewable plant resources (such as corn, cassava, etc.).
Starch raw materials are saccharified to obtain glucose, which is then fermented by glucose and certain strains to produce high-purity lactic acid, and then a certain molecular weight polylactic acid is synthesized by chemical synthesis.
PLA has good biodegradability. After use, it can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature under specific conditions, and finally, produce carbon dioxide and water without polluting the environment. This is very beneficial to environmental protection and is recognized as an environmentally friendly material.
PLA is a polymer material prepared by polymerization of lactic acid or lactide, a dimer of lactic acid. Lactic acid is usually fermented from corn starch or sugarcane. At present, there are also some studies trying to prepare lactic acid from cheap cash crops such as cassava and sugar beet.
PRODUCT application
PLA sheet is biodegradable, with high surface gloss, high transparency, comfortable tactile sensation, bacteria resistance, flame retardant and UV resistance. PLA sheet can be used for hard packaging of fruits, vegetables and food, and also for packaging of other living goods. After thermoforming, PLA extruded sheet has been applied in packaging of fresh food, salad, food and so on. At present, it has occupied a certain market share in Europe, Japan and China.
PLA sheet extrusion line is suitable for PLA(PLA) and modified PLA production. PLA(PLA) is derived from plant resources and can be directly used for extrusion molding PLA and solubilization PLA is widely used in various food packaging hardware packaging due to its biodegradable, compostable and recyclable characteristics.
